Perfect Binding / Soft Binding

We use PUR glue on every perfect bound project for the best lay flat properties possible with a traditional soft bound attached spine. We don’t use hot melt glue in our perfect bind operation due to the tendency of those books to fall apart over time. Our New Kolbus binder is ready for today’s challenges. With Ultra-fast make ready we can be ready to bind in a few minutes and can bind 1 digital book to 10,000’s of thousands of litho printed books quickly and efficiently.

With Lay flat we use a double glue operation using PUR glue in conjunction with binding tape this allows us to make a book that is the flattest laying book on the market using a detached spine the book block is able float free of the cover.

Thin Spine Perfect Binding

We can perfect bind in short or high volume with the thinnest spine in the market with a page count as few as 16 pages and spine thickness at 1/16’’.

Notepads & Tape Binding

Our Kolbus binder allows us to produce high quality note pads and tape bound pads. This greatly speeds up production from traditional hand counted and glued padding methods.
